
BIOGRAPHY
Kris has been a practicing attorney in Florida for 16 years. He is a former State Prosecutor and has now dedicated his entire practice to criminal defense law.
Kris grew up in Huntington, West Virginia and attended Marshall University, where he served as Student Body President. He relocated to Florida in 2004 and attended Florida Coastal School of Law and was a member of their award-winning Moot Court Team. After graduating and passing the bar, Kris was hired as an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit where he prosecuted thousands felony and misdemeanor cases.
In 2015, Kris opened his own law practice where he focused on criminal defense. In 2018, he teamed up with a partner and formed Hendry & Parker, P.A. in Dunedin, Florida. H&P handled matters of criminal defense, family law matters, and personal injury cases. In 2024, Kris joined the law firm of Bernhardt Riley, Attorneys at Law, PLLC as a criminal defense attorney.
Kris is married and has two young boys. He is passionate about volunteering within his profession and his community. He is a Board Director for the Clearwater Bar Association, Co-Chairman of the Florida Bar Attorney Grievance Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sun Coast. Additionally, Kris owns and operates a pub trivia company in Tampa Bay.
